Thanks Zee

Nuttin wrong with my callipers,, just like set used to paint them so that i dont need to keep car laidup for 24 hrs.

if you have a set off the car - power-coat them - it will be much better than paint.

BTW - it takes nearly as long to swap the calipers, re-load the pads, bleed the entire system - as it would to paint the calipers in place. The caliper paint I used was dry to the touch in an hour.

Thanks Quik,,, didnt know u could paint them while still on.

Was told they needed to be removed cleaned and painted, let dry 24 hrs, than re-installed.

nah - some folks just mask everything off and spray them.

I sprayed into a plastic disposable container and then brushed it on - thick.

nah - just used some water and a wire brush - scrubbed them clean - then used some compressed air to dry them down before painting.

Dupli-Color has a kit that contains: 8oz. Paint, 11oz. Spray can of caliper cleaner, paint stir stick, masking tape, paint brush and instruction sheet. Comes in red, blue, black, and yellow and ran about $16 including tax at Pep Boys. I would recommend getting a couple more brushes. I did not have to mask that much just the bleeder valve. More than enough paint; I still have 1/2 a can even with 4 coats.

Here is a old thread with some nice photos.
