The UPS man just left my work and dropped off my LMS chip for my 94.......Can't wait to get it it........I want to do it on my lunch break but I have to wear a shirt and tie to work....prob not the best idea to be on the ground in the ice :( hopefull this weekend I'll get it in

Do your self a favor..
Pull the PCM from the car and take it inside

Then take the 4 screws out of the case and split it in half.

THIS way your 100% sure to be able to clean not only the "grease" from the connector you can need to clean off the clear laquer from the contacts.
After ford programs the PCM they put a clear {like fingernail polish) over the contacts, then covers the clear coat with grease.

If you dont get all this cleaned off your gonna have connection issues.

On the ground? The chip goes inside :)

Either way, you have to remove the computer, clean the contacts, etc. Its really not a quick job unless you did it before.

But once its in, HAVE FUN!!!

Pulling the PCM takes about two minutes, one clip and 1 10MM bolt..and it's out.
it's harder to disconnect the battery and pull the upper kick panel down than it is to pull the PCM.

If I had a chip to install...I'd do it right now and be enjoying it in less than a half hour.
You should be able to pull it off during lunch break.

its tempting.............thanks for the advice, I'll take it in and clean it all up.....thats the last thing I need is for to have connection problems......I can't wait to get it in....did you feel a difference?

did you feel a difference?
absolutely...

I got chips from various vendors (including LMS) back in the day.
After spending a grand on the chips, because there was "always something" I didn't like about each of the tunes. (personal preferences)

I eventually wound up getting the hardware and software to do it myself..because no matter who I talked to, or who's chip I ran I always seemed to "find something" I didn't like.

for some folks, these vendors tunes work fine.
Myself.. I am very picky about my car..and what it does and when it does it.
SO the only solution was for me to do it myself.

I'm sure you'll be happy.. the difference between stock and tuned is night and day.

Nice, yea i'm not too savy with the computer controlled cars. And for my daily driver any difference will be great.....i'll save the fine tuning to my q-jet :)
