I'm sure you have plenty of money in the car. I dont really know considering its not my car. I priced out all the parts to fix my front end and it was looking more like $500 in parts, plus paint. This was just my experience.

Thats what I mean tho, its not crazy expensive to fix, under a grand. the trans probally like 500-1000 depending on where you go. thats really all thats wrong with it.. besides the stuff I am troubleshooting... I mean with all the mods in the car I think what I am asking for is reasonable.

I'd have to agree with this... It's going to cost the buyer a lot to repair that front end.

You'd make a lot more parting it out.

Again its not that much money.. you can get a set of 4.10's and a driveshaft with the money you need to fix the front end.. oh wait a second.. my car already has 4.10's and a driveshaft

No offense, but I doubt you will get a single bid. An 11 year old car with body damage, electrical glitches and a slipping tranny is not in high demand. As a buyer I would run far far away. I sold a 90 Fox LX with many thousands more in mods than you have for less than the price you want, and it did not have body damage. Mods mean squat to the average buyer. I just saw a mint 93 sell on there for $2400 with only 54K miles on the clock. If you want the money back for mods the only way is to part it out. I used to buy and sell cars for a living, so I have a feel for what sells and what doesn't.

I didn't think anyone would bid on it but I wanted to try. and how much should I sell the car for? $500? so someone can fix it up for like 1500.. so they'll pay 2 grand for this car maybe at most 2500... nah for that matter I might as well keep the thing, what am I gonna do with 500? hell in all honisty I'd rather take a baseball bat and smash the car to peices than get nothing for the car. the cars worth what I am asking for it... not many people wanna mod a mark but for those who do this is a great car at a great price.

that car is worth way more than 500- i think its a very fair price; if i had the money i would buy it and throw all the performance parts in my car, plus have a spare motor and a :q:q:q:qload of those weird spare parts that break all the time... wish i had the money and a place to put it cause i would buy this. If you ever decide to part it out let me know id want that driveshaft and rear differential!:) id pay more that 500 just for those!

I don't think it's worth that much wrecked and with mechanical problems.

well then you're crazy. my exhaust alone is 2 grand. the car is not wrecked, it has some minor damage. which if you knew anything about fixing cars you would know its not that bad. I've priced mark parts out.. I parted my old mark out.. I know what the parts go for.

The ONLY major issue is the transmission which again is only o/d so its not goingt o need a whole rebuilt tranny. a few hundred for that.

The other problem could be fixed fairly cheaply cause I am almost positive its some sensor(maybe tps, iac?) but I havn't had time to work on it, working 12-13 hours a day kinda make sme not wanna work on my car.

Besides this cars body is in great shape except for the front, the paint is great, its got a new suspension. my reserve was 2600... try buying a mark with as much money as I have invested with the few problems it has for that price. I have about 3-4k in mods alone, not to mention the actual price of the car... my price is not unreasonable.. I really want 3500-4k... but am I asking for that? no

He is not crazy, he is telling you the truth which is why your car wil not sell.
My Mustang had over $10,000 invested and sold for $2200. Either fix it and sell it, fix it and keep it or part it out. Calling other people names who are trying to tell you reality in this situation is not helping your cause. As far as "buying a mark" for your price, I could have purchased a mint 93 as stated earlier for $200 less and 0 problems.
You asked this originally:

Tell me what you guys this of this auction. Am I crazy? is it good? bad? Anyone intrested?
People are telling you what they think and you are getting defensive. If you don't want to hear it, then why did you post it in the first place?

" I could have purchased a mint 93 as stated earlier for $200 less and 0 problems"

This may be true but then again you'll have to put a hell of a lot more $ into that car to get what my car has.. it'd be cheaper to fix up my car. and I never called anyone names I just said you guys are crazy. Whoever says this car is not worth is doesn't really know much about cars.

Also about the few people who have said there mustangs didn't sell for anything. The reason that is is because they are a dime a dozen. I tell ya strike me dead if I am lying but I see on average about a 10-20 mustangs on any given day, some are pos's, some are nice. the reason people want mustangs is because they are cheap. Which is the reason why I bought a mark in the first place.

In the used car market your mods dont mean jack to the average buyer. If you want the money for the used parts on the car, part it out.

and I never called anyone names I just said you guys are crazy.

Sounds like name calling to me, and uncalled for.
Whoever says this car is not worth is doesn't really know much about cars.

I used to sell cars at a dealership and bought and sold auction cars for a living in my own business as well. How about you?

The market for Fox body Mustangs is a lot stronger than that of the Mark VIII, and people want them more plain and simple for the large aftermarket and fan following. Mine sold for less because it needed interior work. The point was made that even with more mods on a more desireable platform the car did not sell for what I believed it to be worth because of issues that were not as severe as your Mark VIII. You asked for opinions and you got them, most from people who seem to know a hell of a lot more about the used car market than you do. And that my friend will be my last input to this thread.

Buyers are looking for a car that works... if it has tranny issues they are not going to purchase for any real price.

Also, if they see it has mods on it the average buyer will think the car has been raced or even abused.. the car is red flagged once you mentioned the fender bender and tranny issue.

Personally I'd love the mods but I'd be afraid of the car.

Well, if you were on this side of the country I'd have offered you maybe $13-1400 for it. *shrug* I'd have transplanted the exhaust onto mine and parted the rest.

I am sorry. I figured around 2500 to sell it.. fix it up for around 1500 to be mint again... thats I guess not worth it. anyways I AM NOT GONNA PART IT OUT. PLEASE STOP ASKING. I guess I didn't make it clear enough over the past posts I made. I know I'll still get some private messages saying hey can I get this part.
