2000 Lincoln LS V8 won't start. Similar senario was posted and they were e told to check the fuses, REM, PCM, and instrument cluster. They were asked if the starter engaged, well mine doesn't and have replaced the starter.
What is your PATS light doing when you turn the key to start?
If it is flashing rapidly, then release the key to run (not off) and wait for it to settle down. When it does settle down, it will flash out a two digit code. Let us know what that code is.
If it is not flashing rapidly, is it on steady, or not on at all?
There is no reason to throw parts at it. There are some very easy to do tests with a voltmeter that would have ruled out the starter as the problem.
