The STS might have more HP and torque but it weighs more than the LS and it doesn't have near 50/50 weight distribution. I'd say get those two cars on an AutoCross course and the Caddy will in the dirt. I'd much rather have handling performance with very adequate HP and torque.

Funny you should say that. A little off topic but funny thing. I had a 67' Camaro with a worked 327ci. It dyno'ed at 357hp at the axels. After retiring the car, my buddy took the engine for his plow truck.

Let me tell you, there is no problem moving snow.

However I don't think any of the Caddi's look like snow plows.

I agree. It looks more like the "cow-catcher" look of the old steam engines to me. But that's not even the case with the STS.

From August 2004 C&D:

'05 STS RWD 320hp 315lb. ft. torque Northstar

1/4 mile: 14.6 @ 97mph
Top Speed: 154 mph

Braking, 70-0 mph: 177ft.
300 ft. skidpad: .86g
 
My favorite bits:

What the Cadillac does that the $69,195 BMW doesn't is achieve a top speed of 154 mph. Moreover, Cadillac has calibrated the traction control to allow you to bark the tires at step-off without imposing Big Brother's mechanical hand of moderation. Nice.
