I am looking to buy a Lincoln LS V8 in the near future but am unclear about the 2 different models and what the differences are. I have been researching and have seen LS V8s with body side moldings. I thought that the LSE were the only ones that had the body side moldings! I am confused about the differences. I see some V8s with 4 exhaust pipes in the back and then some w/ just 2.

If someone can clear this up for me it would be greatly appreciated!

I LOVE these cars... they are really sharp and in a class by theirselves!

depends on the year

- all v8 pre-2003 are the same (their was a little unpublished lift in late 2002). 252hp.
- there were three options - base, sport and premium
- sport had the SST, all leather steering wheel and trannie cooler
- premium had the upgraded interior, and as options had sport suspension, audiophile sound system, ....etc

the LSE was a sport with a body kit and special wheels on it - nothing unique with the drive train.

In 2003 - the engine/drive train was upgrade to 280hp. You can do a search on all the little differences in the looks.

the LSE came back out in 2004 - with a unique body kit and all red tail lamps.

in 2006 - all LSes are LSEs.
