Hello all, I've been a lurker for a little while. I have a serious issue with my 95 Lincoln Mark VIII. I simply cannot get it to fire. It started last week, it couldn't get it to fire. I thought I didn't hear the fuel pump turn on at all at the time. A friend and I put it in the garage and before we could really do anything, I tried starting it and it actually fired up. I let it run for awhile, to cold to drive and get stuck outside I left it in the garage. I kept a routine of starting it for a few days and letting it run. I figured it wasn't quite warm enough to take it for a spin yet. Well I let it sit a few days (2-3) and I didn't start it once. I came back to start it a few days later and I still cannot get it to fire some days later.
The fuel pump does turn on, the inertia switch is fine, I have 40psi of fuel pressure. I have little over half a tank of gas and I added Heet to make sure my gas wasn't frozen (the fuel pressure is sign I guess it is not). Last time we hooked up a computer and the only error code I received was a Secondary Circuit error on the Fuel Pump or something along those lines. I don't have access to the code scanner again at the moment so I don't know what it is saying now. The battery is brand new I actually replaced it 2 weeks before this all started happening. Anyone have any ideas on what to look for or try?
Regards,
