Lincoln ls won't reverse

2002 lincoln ls will not reverse while in reverse it revs up but doesn't move the other gears work fine any insight?

After this happened the car would drive forward I drove less than a 8th of a mile heard a pop and the back drivers side wheel wouldn't turn it was just dragging/sliding along any suggestions or ideas on issues?

seems pretty straight forward. probably burned up a band in the tranny. still, better get a rebuild. Probably will run you around 1.5k to 3k depending which way you go.

Edit: Maybe your diffs are fudged up. IF it is, upgrade to limited slip diffs.
