Lincoln LS markings

What I did to debadge was remove the "Lincoln" and the "LSV8". I put the Lincoln badging inside on the passenger side wood grain. Then I put the V8 badging on the paint inbetween the left rear taillight and the rear surround. It looks really clean and people can still tell I drive a V8 instead of a V6. If they dont know its a Lincoln LS than I would rather not waste my breath entertaining their ignorance.

Maybe you should look it up before you pop off and call it "ricer"
Look what up? That Lexus looks like an overpriced ricer, sorry. I dont care which company started that look with the taillights it looks dumb, seeing that about every crappy honda or eclipse or whatever has those stupid looking tails. Its just missing a 3 ft high spolier made out of aluminum to finish the effect. Your actually defending a Lexus having those tails stock? OK.

Speaking on badges i thought i mention this. Today i was at a light and next to me was a new Cadillac DTS. Nice looking car. But right behind the front wheels on the side is a little square chrome "GM" emblem. Looks aweful. Its on most if not all of the new cars but a Cadillac? If i paid that much for a new Caddy i wouldnt want a GM logo on the side. That would be like the Ford logo on the LS. Just doesnt fit.

Well, I may be going out on a limb here, BUT... I'm assuming the lives of most (normal) people don't revolve around automobiles. You mustn't be so hard on them.

Yeah they are even on the new Corvette. Such a shame.... that is one car that would do just fine with no badging.... unless of course it said Z06.

I hate that little square GM.... it is totally in the wrong place and is just tacky.

Todd,

That looks real good!

Thanks Ken!

A couple more pictures of my enhancements.

The V8 Fender Badge is from a 2004 Thunderbird. P/N 3W6Z16228AA. They cost about $12 each.

I added Lincoln Star emblems to the rear mats. These are the same stars that come with the Premium floor mats and have an iron-on adhesive on the back. I got them in an assortment of colors from a seller on ebay.

The dash emblem is the rear emblem from a 2005 Town Car. P/N 3W1Z-5442528. It cost about $15. Its less conspicuous than the large emblem from the Aviator.

The etched glass decals came from egdecals.com (www.egdecals.com).

How are you guys fastening the badges to the car so they dont come off when you wash it?

This is retarded. I put an SCT badge on mine but that was because it was SCT tuned. An SVT badge is the same as putting a Lexus badge on a Hundyai...very tacky IMO...

However I think the LINCOLN badge from the rear of the car is nice. I did something similar only with the 'LINCOLN' from the Navigator/Aviator. It's a bit bigger but I've had nothing but compliments on it. Looks stock!

Man this thread just takes things to a new low for me. I cant believe some of you have put the things that you have on your car. SVT, MTX ??? Seriously ? Why not go get a supercharged emblem or maybe a Ford TurboDiesel emblem, that would really confuse people and be super cool. Quik, in my opinion in that picture the letter "E" looks crooked, spaced wrong, and almost a different font, otherwise it still fits the car. And my man with the Lexus, those taillights look like ass. Are you fast and furious?

Guess we'd be better off just inventing new names for the color of our cars. Hmmmm.....how about a double silver, maybe a quadruple cashmere, even a tripple titanuim... now that's cool!!

I debaged my last car and took off almost every badge except one moulded into the trunk lid. Im sure there were people who no longer knew what kinda car i drove. And it didnt bother me in the least. It was my car, and i thought it looked good. If you think they look good taken off, then take them off. When i did it to my last car, i did it because it made my car very unique since i even made a custom grille to get rid of the emblem. No one had the same thing. So just do whatever makes you happy. Your the one who gets to drive the car every day.

Most of the badges have peel-n-stick backs, so you just peel and stick!

Sorry, but that big honking in-your-face Lincoln emblem does not look stock. Now who's retarded? :)

OTOH, mine looks stock:

That is in "IN YOUR OPINION" jack-***. However. I KNOW that putting an "SVT" badge on a Lincoln LS is in FACT, a sorry attempt at making your car look like something it is NOT. Bottom line. Props on most everything else though...

Now, now..... don't get all testy!

Yep, it is my opinion, and whatever you think you "know" about this is also just your opinion.

I will say this: It's my opinion that guys who install the big honking In-Your-Face LINCOLN emblem on their dashboards are trying to make up for anatomical shortcomings below the waist! :p

I'm going to put an AMG badge on mine or maybe an "M series"...haven't decided yet. Any opinions? LOL
