Lincoln LS Jappenesse Tail Lights

You dont need to defend yourself cause no one is coming at you. We are just stating that those tail lights and all those fake clear and chrome tail lights like it are ugly as sh!t!

Funny, I was always told the IS300 is a GAY mans Lexus.


If its so gay why was it a very sought after item in its time when it was available? Why do they put the all reds on the 2nd Gen LSE?


Style is worthless without class.
 
That IS300 is definitely not a gay mans Lexus IMO. It's one of the best looking Lexus' ever made. Except for that tall ass roofline.
 
I dont know what to tell you. Its the Civic of all Lexus sedans. Thats how it is.

Now you have your opinion so dont think IM calling you gay:) either of you, thats just the word on the streets from all the Lexus owners I know of. Thats my opinion as well, its kind of like how the Miata is the gay mans RX7:D

The LS line up ( all three ) are way better looking IMO.

I have heard that the antenna on the front bumper is just a marker so the driver knows exactly where the front of the car is. Parking is so tight and the streets are so narrow that they have to have something for guidance.
 
Yup, + every other car over there is so damn small compared to this one.
 
okay, here is my point for those who didn't understand: The LS tails are plain, even the two tone is a poor attempt at style. With some custom tails (choose whichever style you like, personally I would like to see some altezza style) the ride would look better. I think GTO tails might look cool.
 
Well there is no need to turn it into a debate. Your entitled to what you believe but I must point out that the LS as bad as it looks in a :cool: way looks very plain and those lights help accent the car. One thing I noticed is that IMO it does look cheap on LSes with chrome trim on the bumpers. It kind of clashes. I have debated myself whether or not to get a set but I really think the red tail lights on the silver with sport trim looks perfect.

Now back to the subject, I bet in fact I know that if these lights had a different name like "2000-2002 2nd gen style tail lights" or something like that some of you guys would completely change your tones:) :) :) :) ;) But the fact is that they do come from Japan, something I just found out recently myself. I just figured they gave them that name cause someone felt they had that style.

I would kind of still like to work with a set. Like open them up and see what you can do with the upper half.
 
It'd be kinda cool to make a new lens completely, like the clear corner marker lenses. Since - at least on the gen 1- they can be opened up the same way as the headlights.

Just keep it to something that compliments the LS. Something nice and refined. I don't know what could make them better though. I think flat lenses would look too boring. They are way too big to do all clear.
 
I should have taken that in as advice and just went straight to page 3!

Anyway. I wonder how that would actually look if the chrome reflector bowls were painted like mine and Justins turn signals.


I cant tell in pics if it has enough reflective pattern on the lens to help spread light.

I was hoping that you could clear them of the reflective pattern so you have just a smooth look to the lens while the chrome reflector bowls help keep the light bright enough. I have a few friends that did that to their cars and it looks sharp, especially on ones that have the two tone's..
 
i would love to get a few of the JDM LS goodies, the power folding mirrors, the Parking antenna, also the tail lights look good to me.

I scrapped the idea because I wanted to buy a spare set to do it to. Now I don't want to spend the money on it. I just bought a Canon Rebel XT, and a new 42" HDTV so that ate up some of the money for current car projects :D

its a better spot than ours, whenever the rear defrost is on i get one or two stations......i hate it.

The Japanese/Euro Tail Lights for the 00-02 LS have been discontinued by Ford. If you have any connections in Japan you might be able to find them. However, we haven't been able to get them from Ford for about 6 months or so.
 
We do have a member thats coming back soon. Or did he come back already?
 
Try these. They remove all the egg yoke yellow and look silver. I have them front and rear.
