So earlier went out to change my reverse lights in my car and come to find out that the bulb doesn't even come close to fitting in the socket. It's the right size of bulb by the way. Anybody got any thoughts? And is there a easier way to get those pins out of the trunk holding the carpet in?

I got mine from vleds.com. I've seen other people use the same style bulb but I just can't get mine to fit. Waste of 30.99

The white reverse lights?

They are not 3157s.

i didnt think they where the same bulb but according to sylvania's new website, its is 1357 for both gens (doesn't mean that they are correct either)

what size does the bulbs that you removed say that it is?

They are wrong. There's another thread on here somewhere about it. I've pulled the bulbs out of my 04 and 06, they are not 3157s, they are 921s.

Here's the thread.

Joe, my ls is 2nd gen. Sylvania says they are both the same but not even close

The Sylvania site has several of the bulbs wrong for the Gen II (reverse lights, high beams, rear turn signals, and probably some others). The owner's manual lists the correct bulbs.

Sylavania is a joke. All of their bulbs are jacked up except their headlights. Glad I checked all my interior bulbs before I ordered LEDs because I would have spent $50 on useless bulbs.

Black, wouldnt led bulbs look rather horrible in turn signals? But I do have these 3157 bulbs that are useless to me

No they would be rather bright. All you need is an inline resistor for each. There is a thread on here somewhere with a how to in wiring it up. VLEDs has resistors.

Lots of members here have led turn signals. They are brighter and instant on/off instead of a delayed response. I dont have them i simply have the chrome bulbs.

You only need a resistor if you want them to work as running lights and signals. otherwise they will just work for the signals I believe. could be wrong

No you're right on the money.

Yeah but I feel that it would make it look weird, having yellow turn bulbs up front and white in the back lol. Idk kinda ocd about my car.

Removing push pins from trunk lid liner.

Use a plastic fastener removal tool and put it behind the trunk lid liner it will support the pin and keep it from folding over.

While behind the liner pry directly under the plastic fastener.
