LED dome light

Has anyone ever put LEDs in the dome light?


What ones did you go with. I just got some 194's and am waiting for it to get a bit dark out so I can see how they look. I put them in the license plate lights, foot wells, and bumper lens.

Now I wanna complete the look and add them to the dome lights.

Wow those are bright!

I hope my foot well lights turn out that bright but mine are supposed to be Xenon white match. I guess I'll have to take a look on the site. I frequent it offten enough I dont know why I never thought to look for the dome lights .

i have an 05 LSE and when i open the door im sure everyone knows the lights come on in a faded like motion you could say then when you close the door they fade off. are leds capable of this because i thought only a normal bulb was thats why i was just going to get some hyperwhite halogens because i like the fade effect

Yeah they do fade. Just quicker.

That fading is called "Theater Lighting".

my interior looks like pete's. i also bought a some white ones that looked good. a lot brighter than the blue led's as far as clarity goes. if you plan on doing the dome be advised that it is a PITA. i have a thread on here w/ piks of my car and the LED's. i didn't remove the headliner like most people do and it was a lot easier that way.

Man, those pics look nice. I wish I still had my white LEDs in the interior. I wish I would have not took them out.

I think I am re-doing mine.


They are supposed to be a nice cool white but look way to much like 6K-almost blue for me. The doe lights and door lights over power them completely!

They make my bumper lens look green!

i wonder if you can access them from the sunroof on second gen's like i did on mine. the rear one is super easy tho. good luck.

Could it have been cathodes in the foot wells?

I just thought of that. I can get them cheap for PC mods.


Im just interested in a clean updated crisp look.
