Leak under car

Hey guys got a (pretty sure its tranny fluid) leak, its coming from a thing that is right under the Oil filter, a small box with a hard brake line ish thing coming out its round and elbows down with a hex head plug in it facing down

any ideas? what it is or the fix

What color is the fluid? Is it red? If not, it could be an oil filter.

If the fluid is red, and by the oil filter, in might be a power steering fluid leak.

yes it is red and like I said its by the oil filter a small box with a oh 1/4 inch elbow with a hex head nut going into it I couldnt find anything loose

sounds like the high pressure PS line that goes from the pump to the rack.

if you have to change that line, becareful of the elbow that turns and goes down into the rack itself..it tends to bend and pull out of the rack, just prior to the fitting coming loose, dont put load on that fitting.. it will break.

Yeah I was going to say powersteering line. Thanks XLRVIII for letting us know about that problem, now I know something to look for when inspecting my next car.
