Lamp out! But NO Lamp out!

Ive had my lamp out light come on in my 04 3.0 numerous times in the past 2 months.

First my license plate bulbs went out so I replaced them.

Second my front fog light wasn't staying on after that I then replaced the HID. All was fine now.

Now the lamp out warning comes on randomly all the time. It can be when I start the car, when I park, when I'm on the highway.

The lights don't even have to be one and it will go off! It didn't start this until I had it sitting for a week to do my brakes.


SO does this warning only tell you if an exterior lamp is out or can it be interior, and on the guages??

Exterior. Usually a brake/tail light. Could be a corroded connector causing an intermittent short.

The right scan tool will tell you exactly which one it is.
Failing that, pull your turn signal lights out and see if it looks like one of the wires on the base of the bulb is melting into the plastic.
