Kinda rough idle...

hey, i have an 01 v6.. I have a little rough idle when im in Drive but stopped(like at a red light)...my mirrors shake and i get a little vibration.. but the second i give it some gas its all perfect. Any1 kniow any possible causes to this?

One guess could be misfire on some cylinder, another cause could be something wrong with fuel / air delivery.

cant be misifire.. cuz i just changed all coils, spark plugs, and valve cover gaskets.. and my misfire problems went away..... im going to change my fuel filter monday and see if i still get the problem

Gas quality. Don't buy "cheap" gas. Spring for the name brand. In the mean time, run some injector cleaner through the system the next couple of tankfuls. That is what I had to do when I was buying gas from an independent. I ping (allbeit lightly) on all but Exxon now.

i get BP, mid grade... I think BP is one of the top ones?..... For the fuel cleaner, all i do is just top off, then add the cleaner, and re-fuel when i get on E.. correct?

If im not mistaken all LS' are suppoesed to run high test fuel 91 or higher this may be part of you problem

yeah i had the same problem in my V6 and it was because i wasn;t using 91+, the engine has a high compression ratio it needs the expensive stuff

Check your coils, I had the same problem, it threw a code after a few days and it was a coil, even though you just changed yours you may have a bad one....

i think it is because of the gas im using... also, i dont think ive replaced the fuel filter for a while now... im going to fill up on 91+ add fuel cleaner and install the neew fuel filter.. im pretty sure this will fix it
