Locked the keys in the car this morning, planning on unlocking the car with the keypad on the door when I was done work.

Got back to the car, and the pad was dead - but also the interior lights didn't come on when I pulled the door handle (don't know if they usually do it or not?).

Had CAA come out, and opened the door - interior lights still out. Tapped the brake pedal - interior lights come on .

Keypad works again .

Any idea what's going on?

Am going to get a spare key cut to hide under the car.

That was the battery saver I think. If you leave the door open or the lights on for 30 minutes (I think) it turns everything off for you. My car has done it while I was detailing it and such.

In other words, a sticky door sensor caused the car to think the door was open for too long, and kicked in the battery saver. (Both the above posts are true.) Unity's got the right idea: WD-40. Have fun. :-)

Jeez, just a sticky door sensor?

What a car, had me really pissed off last night :D.

Will probably do that 'fix' this weekend, thank you guys very much - would never have thought to look at that as the problem.
