keyless door entry

Is it possible to install a keyless door pad entry on my 2000 LS v8.

Others thought the pad to thick. Think out side box, have seen other member mount pad by the rear license plate.

Had to have the dealer install it on my 01. They reprogramed both key fobs too. As for the size it isn't bad looks like any other ford product.
