So I’m dropping the kmember next week to install headers. I thought at this time I will tap the oil pan for the supercharger because of the added space. Im thinking about just tapping it with pan on, Tapping it with the pan off, Or even welding a bung in. Any suggestions? Is the pan steel or aluminum?

My oilpan should be getting tapped tomorrow, my friend is doing it for me, hes gonna weld a bung in it. Its steel.

The pan is steel. If you've got the K-Member down, take it off to weld a bung in it, and change the gasket while you're at it.

Ok oil pan off it is, so at this time any mods I could do? Is there any need for a crank/oil scraper?

The scrapers that are built into the pan aren't bad. I'll eventually figure out a way to install a Canton oil pan and windage tray, but that's going to require some cutting and welding on the K-Member. ;)

I'd drop the pan out and get it power coated or maybe POR15 it... a rusting oil pan is the worst...
