I am keeping my LS but I am considering on buying a 2002-2004 F-150 Lightning. What do you guys think of the truck or what have you heard? I sure there are tons of parts to make it faster...Lol I am working on a mini fleat of trucks,cars, and motorcycles...
 
I have not heard much from them, be it good or bad. I know a guy who has two and loves them. If I had the money I would grab one myself no doubt.
 
I like them very much and if I was to buy a truck it would probably be near the top of the list. About the only truck I like better is a f250 with the big powerstroke.
 
not too bad for a truck. When I worked at the tire shop we had one a guy was working on. It's a truck, very hard to get traction. Even with slicks, but then to back end started hopping and the truck went slower then it did on street tires. Just one perspective though.

For more in depth owner knowledge go to www.ford-trucks.com and look thru the forums. I think there is one specific to the Lightning.

The guys there have tons of experience and opinions and are glad to share what they know. Also would be a good place to go if and when your truck needs some repair advice or even how to hot rod it.

It is free and you could post this question there and I bet you get quite a few answers or search the archives.

seems like a nice truck.. pretty quick.. trucks are REALLY easy to upgrade and fix.. body work is easier on trucks IMO.. plus they sell 100 parts more for trucks..
 
Well, what are your goals? What is your budget? Do you just want to go fast? Do you just want a truck?
 
cool thanks for the info guys... i just want a fast truck and i believe the lightning will do... besides its not that expensive used...
