Just detailed the car... Great sunset... I couldn't resist taking some pics tonight. I think she looks pretty good for 91k.

2002 Lincoln LSE 3.9l V8

All stock except:

35% tint all around
Pioneer AVIC-D3 headunit with Navigation, Bluetooth, XM and IPOD (installed in glovebox)
Infinity Kappa speakers all around
Goodyear ResponsEdge tires (much better than the stock Pilots IMHO)

Contemplating an aftermarket intake... not sure yet as I may sell her soon. I've been eyeing a Cadillac STS-V with 26k selling for $24,000 in my area. PM me if at all interested in a VERY clean LSE. I couldn't bear to trade the LS in (and who knows who they would sell it to!) if there is maybe a LvC member who would want it. I'm in Maple Grove, MN.

Comments welcome!

love the car but i think the tips could be a tad bit bigger, IMHO of course

Do you drive the LS in winter up there? If so, what tires do you have? I'm just down in Indiana, but travel up to the cities on a fairly regular basis.

Wow, that is very nice.

What a car man!

I love that shot of the wheel.

I drive it year-round. If I could afford a second vehicle I would much prefer to garage the LS. The amount of salt that they lay down on the freeways here is insane. I actually think the LS handles pretty well in snow/ice conditions as long as you have the right rubber on.

I've been running Goodyear Eagle ResponsEdge tires the last two winters and I love them. They have great traction in rainy conditions as well. The sidewalls are a bit stiffer than the stock Michelin Pilots so I feel like I actually get better cornering response out of them. They are dead silent and complement the ride of the Lincoln very well. I picked them up with replacement certificates at Discount Tire for around $830.

You can check them out here:

And you can buy them here:

Discount Tire: $170 each

how do you like your kappa speakers....i am interested in getting them all the way around.

I like them, although I had to get used to them at first because they are a lot more "punchy" than the stock speakers. Definitely better sound quality/clarity at all range levels though. If you have a stock amp for the rear deck 6x9s I would suggest upgrading that. I did not, but I can tell that I could get quite a bit more bass out of the rear deck and these Infinitys can handle a LOT more power than the stock amp puts out. That will probably be my next interior upgrade.

Damn that car looks great at 91k!!

I think I wanna get that first gen LSE grille to match my wheels instead of the second gen one I have. Hmm...

Thanks everyone for the great comments! I took great care to find an LSE with a "mint" body and interior. IMHO I think it looks just as good today at 91k as it did when I bought it 3 years ago at 45k. All it has taken is a full paint cleaner/polish/wax Maguiers 3 step process twice per year. I wash on average every 1.5 - 2 weeks depending on the weather forecast. And I always park at the back of the parking lot = 0 door dings.

USE THE FLASH NEXT TIME!!!! :p

Seriously, always use the flash whenever you take pictures of the car. It helps to fill in shadows, and it provides more light so your exposure times are shorter, which = less blurr. Closeups are about the only exception to that.
There are a few shots I see where you did use the flash, and guess which ones look better, and show more detail of the car?

Car looks great btw.

My son is refinishing an LSE front fascia and the side skirts to mount on his (formerly mine) 00 LS. These pics are great as his is also black.

We presently do not have an LSE rear valance but were contemplating doing a custom affair with a splitter type design and relocated exhausts. Stay tuned!:D

NYC those Jag wheels look great!

NYC those Jag wheels look great!

I can't seem to find those anywhere. hmmm....

I thought the LSE (with the CDC body kits) had a wire mesh grill??

The LSE in this thread has all OEM LSE body parts, including the front bumper cover. The CDC kit has a different front bumper cover, where the lower front part is fully open. Many (like myself) who have the CDC front bumper cover have created their own mesh grill using the stainless steel gutter guard from Lowes/Home Depot.

They're not Jag wheels, they're Mille Miglia wheels. :D

And they look great and 19s to me are the optimal "look" for the car.

With the lowered stance it really works!

When Brian at LLSOC had the StopTech big brake kit on his LS the rotors filled up the whole inner wheel area and that took it to yet another level.
