I looked this up and on DragTimes. The amazing thing about it is The lincoln still shift at only 5'500 rpm's and it feels like peak power is at like 6,200.

Why aren't you just shifting it higher?

I just do not want to get into manually shifting it. I plan to get it reprogrammed over the winter. Unless someone knows a better (easier) way to change the shift points. I'm happy with the engines program I just want to change the shift points.

I'll give ya tips on it. Move shifter then move one more time, collect time slip. LOL "Just messin with ya! Just can't believe you didn't even try it once or twice. What do you have to lose?

You are going to raise shift points via tune so whats the difference?

From past experience when people manually shift automatics they over rev them frequently and occasionally hit neutral and over rev them severely.

Have you removed the factory rev limit or raised it real high?

It's to high for regular use but OK for a save in case of a failure.
