Just ordered all of my interior lights and I was wondering if there was a installation guide on here somewhere. Btw it's a first gen, and info on how to install a resistor?

They are led not hid lights.

And it's simple just solder a resistor onto both end of the led and place it in the socket.

AHHH OH GOD IM BLIND WHY DID I PUT HID LIGHTS INSIDE MY CAR INSTEAD OF LEDS

Well anybody know if there is a guide on how to install them into the car?

I believe for the dome lights, you have to drop the headliner a little bit to get to the clips on the dome/map lights.

Yeah well I'm just trying to be sure because I definitely don't wanna trash anything.

I agree i also want to do this conversion...but it's last on my mod-list.

Post pics or any info you find as i will do the same.

Yeah lol, it's kinda hard to just sit here and look at lights and know damn well i'm not touching them until I find out how to do it right. do you have a genI?

Yeah actually just found that one, but now I just need the doors. Prolly have to take the whole panel off huh?

There's lights on the doors? Must be a Gen 1 thing.

I put the resistor in the rear passenger light, it was easier to access and work with. The interior lights are on the same circuit so it doesn't matter which one you choose to put it on. The guy that did it, that I read from, used a 1200 ohm resistor, it was 1000+ ohm for sure, but I went with a 4100ohm resistor just in case. Probably over kill with 4100 but it wont hurt. Got it a radio shack.

It is. I've had my '06 for almost 3 years now (and my wife's for 6) and just noticed that. I had to go in the garage and check it out (my daughter's has the door lights). Maybe the puddle lights replace the door lights.

How many gauge cluster bulbs did you buy? I know that the bulb # is 161 for gen 1 and quite possibly for gen 2 as well. Anyone want to post up what type of LEDs they bought for their instrument cluster? I don't want to end up blinding myself by purchasing ones that are too bright.
