Hey guys and gals, as many of you know ive had my share of problems with the mark in the last year or so. Well, ive finally got em all out of the way for the most part...
-ball joint
-air ride
-tranny
-rear end
anyway, im finally coming down to what i hope is the last little bit before i have a nice fun car. So heres the problem, recently I Converted the stock air ride to Arnott coils.
So I'm driving down the highway and at about 65 I can feel just the slightest shake in the car, I think "hmmm this is werid" so I sped up a bit and the faster I went the harder the car shook and by about 80 I felt like my bumper was gunna fall off. The werid part about it was it was mostly coming from the steering wheel, the passenger in the car said he felt it, but deffinatly looked like it was coming from the steering wheel
So im thinkin to myself wth could be the problem, *BINGO* I never got my car aligned after putting on the coils, so I slow down a bit and pull off to the side of the road, check my tires and sure enough they have been wearin off to the outside edge.
Bummer, so I go to the local alignment place and drop her off, get a call about an hour later saying that my tie-rod end is bent and that i need new rear control arm bushings. FACK!!! Well as the guys tleling me this hes adding it up, and ends up im out 590 bucks... (good bye colorado trip)
fast forword one day, i get my car back and everything feels good so far, i speed up to 65, feels pretty good, i speed up to 70 and there it is again... the shake!! and once again by 80 its horrible!
srry for the long post but wtf is this?! unless they screwed up and it was just an outstanding coincidence that it was the same part of the car that was acting up?! I thought it might be the 2 piece drive shaft but, i figured i wouldnt feel it through the wheel if it was.
oops, now i realise that i have written an entire book. lol help please
o and btw, do gen 1 side view mirrors fit on gen 2 cars? thanks.
