I need to wire something to a positive terminal under my hood

i recently learned that I can do that with a quick fuse tap..

So i just need to know.. there is a 25 amp fuse on what i need to wire up.. does that mean i need a 25 amp compatible tap or will a 10 amp one do the trick? (those are the only ones im finding) if there's a easier better way lemme know please!

I'm going to pep boys tomorrow and purchasing the tap so I just want to get it right, i figure worse that can happen is the thing wont work cuz it wont get enough power and im out 8 bucks.

also if you knw of a better place to buy a tap let me know! the installation of the relay im doing is simple enough I jsut need to find the positive terminal and ground it n im fine.

I've used those before and quite safely. However, you should not use one of a lesser rating. If you need 25 amp for whatever accessory you are adding, you had better use 25 amp or greater as the source. I suggest using a 30 amp source or more.

ehm well the fuse is 25 amps on what i have.. i DONT know what it actually needs all i know it can handle up to 25?

Since you have an inline 25A fuse already you should not even need the item you are speaking of. You should be able to fix a wire into the fuse holder as I believe Quick did in your other post. If you wanted to purchase the quick fuse tap you should get the 25A one and be done with it. Do not put the 10A quick tap fuse on there!

alright thanks ill just get something that will clip on the lil metal tab and run it to the wire then. all i gotta do is volt-o-meter it up.

well i got it working but NOT the way i wanted it!!! i still get ignition failure for my damn lights.. although the rate at which they did it seemed to increase when i put in nokya 55watt 2100k fog lights... could this POSSIBLY be the problem?
