I am on (in?) my second LS - had a 2000 Black V8 Sport and now own a 2003 Silver V8 Sport (shoulda got black again)
I have always loved the sport suspension, and thre LS itself for its power and handling, but have never taken an extended trip, in either car, so I always wondered about how it would fare on a long trip - firm ride and all.
Well - we drove from Dallas, Texas to Hilton Head, SC this summer (16 hours each way) and it was absolutely wonderful !!
It was so comfortable, we drove home in "one go" without ever really feeling fatigued - 6AM to 10PM (with a time change) with stops only for food and nature's necessities and got 25+ MPG to boot !!
I am giving all credit to the seats - there was never a point that I ever felt uncomfortable during the whole trip. Considering we were both nursing bruised ribs from a wreck we were involved in while in HH (not the LS), this is quite an accomplishment.
Just my $.02
