With the recent temps outside ive noticed that the LS puts off a lot of heat.

I dont know if its just mine but if i open the hood i can barely stand in front of it with the engine running without being blasted with heat.

The underside of the car is hot too yet its not overheating. All the other cars here arent as hot....not even the expedition with the V8.

Am i alone in this??

I can't stand in front of mine with the hood open either, unless the engine is cooled off.

I believe you are describing normal operation.
The Expedition has more air space under the hood and more surface area to dissipate heat, so it may not stay as hot for as long.
