Just a little help please

How do you remove the glass from the tracks on a factory moonroof? It's a 94 mark viii, well whatever year the pull a part has.

It will be alot easier to take it out as a unit and swap the whole unit over.

If its like my conti at all, its 4 bolts on the sides, lifts right out after that.

Didn't a guy do a write up this like a month ago? Search should give you the info.

A write up on a moof roof removal? Play with the roof untill it goes into the erect postiton, exposing its bolts, undo bolt and lift roof out. then undo track screws and take track out. If your at the pull yard their should be a nut on the motor to manually make it go up. Its in the access panel. Id take pics for you but my panel is glued on, had a issue with it blowing off at 100 with the moon roof open.

Also your will ave the shade still on it, i tossed my shade and glued the liner from it on my moon roof

I know, but if I ever did something the easy way I wouldn't do. Nor would I have my Lincoln. It needs a little more than a moonroof, but I'll fix what I can for now drive as is until I can get new parts. And it's only $19 + tax.

That sounds like a dirty joke! If I can get out there tomorrow I'll pull it out one way or the other.

Glass Panel


Removal

1. Open roof sliding outer glass panel approximately half-way.

2. Unsnap the roof sliding panel opening shield from roof sliding outer glass panel assembly.

3. Raise roof sliding outer glass panel to the vent position.

4. Slide roof sliding panel opening shield fully rearward.

5. Remove six roof sliding outer glass panel retaining bolts (three per side).

6. From outside of vehicle, remove roof sliding outer glass panel.


Installation

1. Operate roof sliding outer glass panel to lower glass lifter arms approximately one-quarter of the way. This relieves tension on the cables, enabling lifter arms to move for easier roof sliding outer glass panel positioning and for installation of the roof sliding outer glass panel retaining bolts.

2. Position sliding roof sliding outer glass panel. Install six retaining bolts. Finger-tighten center bolts (for roof sliding outer glass panel adjustment). Tighten remaining bolts to 2-4 N-m (18-35 lb-in).

3. Lower roof sliding outer glass panel from the vented position to slightly below the roof panel sheet metal surface (12mm (1/2-inch) maximum), then raise it to the closed position.

CAUTION:
To prevent roof sliding panel opening shield damage, do not allow roof sliding outer glass panel to travel rearward during this operation.

4. Check and adjust the roof sliding outer glass panel as required (flush to - 1.0mm low at the front and flush to +1.0mm high at the rear).

5. Tighten all retaining bolts to 2-4 N-m (18-35 lb-in).

6. Slide roof sliding panel opening shield forward.

7. Open the roof sliding outer glass panel approximately one-quarter of the way.

8. Install roof sliding panel opening shield to roof sliding outer glass panel.

reassembly may take considerably longer to complete.

That is for removing the whole assembly, not the glass. But I do remember that thread, I've been a lurker for some time!
