Just a few questions that need answers about the 06 ls

Ok guys just got a brand newish 06 ls, Just got a few questions.. The info center screen, oil change, air filter etc only is visible when one of the doors are open and you hit the info button to scroll through the info but after you shut the door and exit the menu it will go blank and will not allow you to view when driving down the road, gas info and millage info work just fine while driving, any idea what could be wrong or is this normal for the gen II, as I had a 2002 and if I remember correct it was able to see it at anytime parked or driving ??

Also anyone got a part number on the piece that the thermastat housing bolts upto (not the part that holds the thermostat) but the base it bolts to the engine block as mine is stripped (cheep plastic) thanks guys love the site !!!

Info center only displays when the door is open? That's a head scratcher... I have an 06 and can check all of that in motion.

yup ^ , not normal , while driving pressing status should display all that info

I know right on my 2002 I had I was sure it was viewable all the time, but on the 06 when I press it while driving its blank but everything else will work fuel button etc..

do you have change oil or cabin filter ? try hitting reset maybe

It's 3W4Z-8548-AD. However, believe me, you will need much more than just that piece. The plastic has started to "rot" (for want of a better word to describe it). All of it will have to be replaced. All at once now, or you can take it all apart several times over the next month or three.

On the info screen when the Doors open and it reads rear door ajar I hit the status button I can cycle through with all info showing just fine oil life, filter life, lights etc. but when you shut the doors and start to drive the info center only goes blank but fuel info millage, and all work fine still with the fuel buttons.. As far as the coolant parts looks as if they had been replaced but someone cross threaded the bolt and striped it which I have fixed kinda but would like that part number to just replace it..
