Hello, has anyone ever gotten the Jiffy Lube Fuel Injection cleaning with their LS? Years ago, with a different car I got one after my friend who worked their did it free. He swore by it, and I did notice my old car seemed to accelerate quicker (easier) after getting it. I'm just wondering if anyone has experience with the LS and this cleaning, or if anyone would recommend or not-recommend getting this service for my 2002 LS V8. Thanks for any input.

I used to get the "drip line" cleaner done on my Civic and definitely noticed a difference. I've asked for it at least twice while getting the oil changed on my '06. I've been told that it cant be used on the LS because it lacks the brake booster connection. Now I use Seafoam or Chemtool in the gas tank with every oil change.

I did that service to my 01 years back at firestone. The reason being was that my mpg was 12.5. I really didn't notice a change in performance.

I've used Lucas upper end cleaner/lubrication fuel additive to help out a noisy injector. It seemed to work as the injector quit being so noisy. Didn't notice a difference in anything else though. It supposedly helps clean injectors, lubricate them, and help clean out carbon deposits on the back of valves and pistons. Since I have yet to run a tank of it through and then tear an engine down, no clue if any of that works though. :)

My experience with any LUCAS product is that they do what they say it will do. IMO it's the best additive brand out there. I use thier oil in my mark and it seems to be better performing than the mobile 1 I used in the past. This is of couse depending on the results of the oil samples I send off for testing.

I used a bottle of Lucas oil additive in an '85 t-Bird 5.0 I had before I pulled the motor and it helped with some stuck/collapsed lifters and cold starts.

It should be noted that nothing will fix broken. But it can help something that is either borderline or just dirty.

I wouldn't let Jiffy Lube walk my dog. Just my opinion. I bought an 03 GMC truck from a friend and he took it to Jiffy Lube to have the oil changed on his way to deliver it to me and the next day there was a puddle of oil under my new truck. They left the oil filter loose and it wasn't even the right oil filter to begin with. The ones around here have a bunch of 'kids' working there that dont really care or even know what they are doing really. I have heard bad things about Jiffy Lube from some people I know as well. I'm sure they arent all bad, but anything they can do....I can do, so I dont go.
