Was put messing around tonight in the-600 ft da air here, and I am astonished at how fast the car is. It is easily the fastest its ever been in its 15 years of existance. It spun so hard through first that I couldn't believe it, like it was a completely different car. It spun ridiculously far into second, till I left off. Mostly because of the cold tire and cold street though id guess. But for sure far more power than its ever had. You guys are lucky that get good air all the time and don't have to freeze for it. That is all

I experience this every time I drive back to illinois.

Especially pulling the lincoln on the trailer. Between Salina and Topeka KS, you can actually feel the truck start to wake up as you drop in elevation.

Then you bash your head against the steering wheel on the trip back when you lose it again.

:)

I'm guessing you've had that rear brake fixed?

Sure did. Turned out they fvcked up the front one to. Went to a buddies house to drill them and we did a perfect job. The a$$wipes that messed them up washed their hands of it and basically told me to fvck off. They cost me their fee plus the cash for 2 new rotors. Was and still am tempted to throw the fvucked rotors through their window

Still Can!

I hear ya mossy. We have early spring, and late fall up here for good DA. That's it. Hell, even my 13.59 run last year on the mail order tune was over 1000ft.

No...I might break something, want to keep this car as long as possible, don't want to send it to an early grave.

You don't have that much horsepower. :rolleyes:I've had a lot more fun with my car than you have in all the time of driving yours like a grandpa. :p 153K miles and shifting to 7K rpms. That's how I do it. The more the merrier. LMAO Geez, it's not a 98 Cadillac Northstar Deville. You CAN beat on it a little bit.................GRANDPA! :p

LOL...I bought this car as a luxury car not a race car. I am pushing 50 but not a grandpa yet. I don't need to hit 7K rpm to have a fun ride. I didn't mean to hit a soft spot there....LOL.
If I wanted a race car I would have something different then this....and faster then yours!
Didn't mean to start an argument, I was just playing with you just like we all do with each other...:)

You didn't start anything. That was all me! :p You didn't hit any soft spots. I'm pretty calloused. :D

Had to deal with your lack of air before.
Not fun at all, add in the summer heat in the foot hills.
Hell it raises hell with me let alone my car.

I'm well over 50, multiple grandpa, and you're only as old as you act and feel.

I enjoy my 7K rides. :D

Not sure how close to sea level Cincinnati is... but we get some decent air here occasionally.

Id be curious to know the age of the members here. I have a feeling this place is not all filled with 20-something year olds

Only car I drive carefully and considerately is my '77 Mustang II. Everything else gets thoroughly used.... unless the transmission is dying.... like the heap shown below this message.

I feel young!
I take it easy in this car because it's 18 years old with 197K. If I get on it like you guy's do something would break, stop working, fall off or disintegrate! LOL
But if you lend me your car for about 12 sec's I would love to see what 7k rpm's feel like :)

Spree, in your defense, you have a 94 with the older style valve springs so I agree on your anti-7k rpm mentality. I on the other hand have the beehive springs and will shift to 7K rpms and not worry. As a matter of fact, if i reach 197K miles my driving habits will not change and I will still beat the snot out of it. I currently have over 153K miles. A Northstar-powered Cadillac of this era would have never survived my abuse. I have a little bit of faith in my car. ;)

Speakin' of Cadillacs, what's up with the inactivity on that side of the forum. Maybe they all blew up? :p

No grampa...yet, but you never know what the kids will do next.
also in the 50s, I kick the crap out of mine on a daily basis.

What fun would it be to own it and not use it/abuse it? :D
