I've been trying to learn about car suspensions because its the thing in a car I know the least about. I just have a few questions to clarify whats going on. When you all talk about getting Ebachis your talking about getting a Ebachi shock absorber and springs (which together is called a strut?)? It actually appears to me it's not too hard to replace your own as long as you have a spring compressor yes? (I am very capable with tools) Also, when you talk about cutting the coils, you mean cutting off a part of the spring that is on the dampener correct? This effectively lowers your ride height but makes things a little rougher possibly? Any random bits of info for a suspension newb? Thanks

Eibachs--springs only
This car has coil over dhocks, no struts
Cutting a coil--cutting the spring

Yes. Just use a quality spring compressor and get the spring totally compressed. When doing the struts on our old '96 sable I didn't get the spring compressed enough and ripped the nail off of my pinky finger. Man, that HURT!
