Lincoln officially unveiled their new Lincoln MKT concept, their version of the upcoming Ford Flex. I know, it's not really related to the Lincoln LS, but it is in a way- its styling was inspired by the concept MKR, which in turn inspired the MKS, which is the LS replacement.

Also, the EcoBoost/Twin Force 3.5L V6 Twin Turbos that can be used on the MKS, will also be on the MKT.

- If you use regular gas on the EcoBoost, you get 340 hp, 340 lb-ft torque.
- If you use premium/E85, you get 415 hp, 415 lb-ft torque!

I think it looks great as well. To me it looks nothing like a Chrysler and more like Infiniti FX.

I bet that windshield glass is expensive to replace... it looks like states will have to set a law on roof tint as well now...

Not bad looking.

Don't know that there needs to be a tint law on the roof, as roofs are currently not see-through anyway. Besides, who wants the hot sun beaming down on them at all times? If it were mine, limo tint on the roof no question.

And there is a seat belt in the second to last picture. Same spot where it is on the LS, between the doors.

All I see is a chunk of plastic, no belt. Maybe they will use that auto darkening glass on the top half of the window that will darken in the sun.

While the MKT is a concept, Fields said it is “not a pie-in-the-sky concept,” suggested that the vehicle might come to market eventually in some modified format.

I think what he is eluding to is the fact that most states currently have laws regulating the tint strip across the top of your windshild for the width and the transparency.

The way most of the current laws are written, they are measured from the top of the windshild down. That poses a serious law problem with this vehicle

I think the interior looks like a$$... I like the general idea of the exterior, though I feel it could use some minor adjusting (biggest complaint is the MASSIVE front end... looks like a train). All-in-all... it's not horrible... kind of like it.

Way better looking than the MK-big toe...and with 415hp, it outta get out of the way!

Are those pedals in the middle? Great more morons with their left foot on the brake. While the interior, it looks like they took the rear end of the MKX and made it even more ugly (how?) and then took the BMW grille and blew it up 20 times.

So the actual car isn't official? Just the concept??

I'm pretty certain it is official- there was an MKT mule espied recently.

I think it looks good- it's not like the Navigator or the MKX, where they just slapped on a big grille and some leather and called it a Lincoln. It has its own sheetmetal, it's brash, and the grille is unmistakably Lincoln. And you can't get much more of Americana than a big ol' honkin' engine with 400+ hp.

Well see about that. Just watch, I bet this will be the new 2010 Ford Edge/Lincoln MKT. Not just solely a Lincoln.
