This is unsustainable. America is poised to flush down the financial tubes if we're unable/unwilling to change this.


Have you ever wondered why very few Hawaiians are working when you visit those islands?

Can't you just hear students telling their teachers in the future, they want to be welfare recipients & work the system when they grow up…?

The Cato Institute released an updated 2016 study showing that welfare benefits pay more than a minimum wage job in 33 American states, and the District of Columbia.

Even worse, welfare pays more than $15 per hour to stay home in 13 states.

According to the study, welfare benefits have increased faster than minimum wage. It’s now more profitable to sit at home and watch TV than it is to earn an honest day’s pay.

Hawaii is the biggest offender, where welfare recipients earn $29.13per hour, or a $60,590 yearly salary for doing nothing.

Here is the list of the states where the pre-tax equivalent “salary” that welfare recipients receive is higher than having a job:

Hawaii , DC , and Massachusetts pay more in welfare than the average working folks earn there.

Is it any wonder that they stay home rather than look for a job.

Time for a drastic change... America is virtually bankrupt.

Note that California is $18.50 an hour. Are we Nuts or what? How do we un-do this type of stupidity … This is crazy!

Now if you think that’s bad, read about these salaries:

Salary of retired United States Presidents $180,000 FOR LIFE
Salary of House/Senate...$174,000 FOR LIFE.

It's all just another intentional deceptive shift towards becoming a Socialist country... when the working class is covering financially for the non working class... while all the Elite live in luxury and want for non-necessties.

I be curious if you could do a breakdown of statistics on those numbers to see how many recipients are non- naturalized.

Does it matter? Kinda... but not from an ethnicity standpoint.

Then again... it's been this way since the beginning of the human race. Only difference back then was... if you didn't work... you didn't live.
 
Ha, you cant deprive a NY family on EBT of not having their choice of dog or cat or whatever pet they choose. NY welfare pays for 0ne pet complete with Vet visits and shots. I am sooo happy I don't pay into that liberal cesspool any more.
 
Personally... I don't think so. Pretty much anyone who WANTS to work... is working now. Whether this economic boom is a natural cycle... or something Trump did... has yet to be seen.

However... Trump did successfully renegotiate NAFTA... and is working on a similar deal with China. That needs to be done... because through previous administrations policies... China was bleeding this country dry.

Financial turmoil... no. Deeper in debt... yes... but it has been that way for a long time.

I think many people had their eyes opened... and saw Obamacare for what it was... a Socialist program that mostly affected the middle class.

Coverage went down on the middle class as premiums went up... so that the underprivileged had decent health care. It was just a way to load the pockets of those in the health care industry... and an experiment to see if the American people would be agreeable to Socialist type programs.

The U.N. and all of the socialists want a world economy... and a world goverment... and the United States has a big bullseye on its back.

Ironically... there was an interview with Nikki Haley last night on PBS. Keep in mind she no longer works for Trump... so she could pretty much say anything she wanted. It seems she still pretty much supports him.

Interestingly... she spent a decent amount of time discussing the validity of the U.N. ... and when she got to the point if the U.N. Human Rights Council... she didn't have much good to say about it. It is true that a majority of the countries on the HRC, are the most corrupt and debase countries in the world... and have commited many atrocities and heinous crimes.

If I can find a newspaper article from a couple years ago... I will list them.

Thanks for your insight. I've always had the impression that he dove our country in greater debt because that is what's portrayed in the news.
 
If you watch mostly CNN, I can see why you would think that.

The majority of mainline news is liberal/socialist anymore. The liberals/socialists did everything they could think of... to keep Trump from getting elected. Now... the same people are trying everything they can think of to get Trump out.

While Trump is definitely no angel... there are many people that have dirtier hands than he does.

As far as the debt thing... try the following in a Google search. It might be eye opening.

"what years had the greatest increase of national debt"

"The economy added 10.7 million jobs under Biden, putting the total 1.2 million higher than before the pandemic." (Biden's also not through his first term)

Trump added 6.7 trillion in debt in 4 years, after being handed a stable economy, in part because he completely mishandled the pandemic response. Obama added 8.6 trillion in 8 years. Obama also walled into the Great Recession of 2008, in Jan of 2009, his predecessor Bush Jr helped create:
