I would really hate to see this car parted out as well, Pepperman. But let me ask you something: If you were to buy a car, and then not get the title to it, not even the promised updated registration tabs, would you risk driving it around on expired tabs? I don't know about you, but I'd rather not go to jail (which happens in AZ) for driving around on expired tabs from another state. AZ expired tabs in AZ get you a ticket. Out of state? It get's you accomodations at the local local PD Hilton. There's a reason they call Arizona "Prizona". You enter a free man, and you leave a convict.
I know all about lost titles, Sheriff's titles and the like. I've been around Law Enforcement types for almost 8 years (no, I'm not a cop). You can't get any of said titles when there's a LIEN against the title. A lien that the previous owner "forgot" to tell me about.
Now, I really don't mind that, as long as I know WHEN the damned title would be cleared (within reason). However, the promised yearly registration tabs aren't in either. The previous owner is avoiding all communication with me. I know for a fact his cell is on when I call him since the phone rings several times before it goes to voicemail. I know he's receiving my text messages.
Mike, if you read this, god damn it man, just call me and give me an update! Hell, send me an email or a text message even! I don't like "airing" peoples' dirty laundry on the internet, but I hope this will light a fire under your ass. I know you're a respected member around here and I really hate to do this, but come on, man. This is a business transaction, not charity! I've held up my end of the deal, and paid you in full in good faith.
Either way, I'll catch up to you sometime next month when I go to Denver. Co. Springs is only an hour or so away.
