Car was parked on the street. Legally of course, but I know not to park in spots right behind driveways but I did because it was all the I could do. Lady backed into me. Luckily I had friends outside that saw it and came and got me.

I wonder what the insurance company is going to do?

Sorry to hear that but if I ever get hit I hope its just like you. Didn't get anything but fender,lucky! Not down playing your bad luck just so easy to fix on the scale. Oh jezz just saw you got it repainted not long ago that stinks! You save some paint??

Yes, but not that much. I had it mixed myself so I still have the code.
 
Good thing its not fwd because they probably would have totalled it.
 
:( if ya need another Gen2 fender let me know ..there's a black one in Dallas ...or maybe a Dallas member could get it..its at the Pick n Pull on South 2nd

Yep, just got a call saying they took responsibility. I just need to find a place (adjuster) in Houston that is respectable and on their list to take the car too to get the damage appraised.

And yes. I did get lucky. I ran outside thinking it would be terrible but she hit the car in the perfect spot.

Yeah, mine happened while it was parked as well. Too many crackheads in this damn town, And I went out to my car like 2 weeks after I bought it and found the driver's door looking like this.

Rear-view was smashed and hanging there like an eyeball. No note saying "oopsie!", no nothing. I hate this freakin town. Wound up sniping a mirror on ebay for 50 bux, and the big wrecking yard up in Helena had one wrecked Mark with a good door for 150.
Was a one-owner car without a single ding in it, clear coat was just shot.
And naturally I just had liability on it at the time. :Bang

I'm so glad I don't have to park in the street. Anytime I go to a friends where they have to park in the road...ill park up in the yard :P

I just picked up my Lincoln this evening to take it to the surgeon. Upon arriving to my parent's house, my mom came out and told me there has been tons of break-ins in the recent weeks and police have left notices. Needless to say, I am going to find another spot to park it next winter in a secured area. I have trouble trusting anyone and even when I go to the store, I will park as far away as possible from anything and everyone. I RARELY park next to anyone. It sucks to that respect having a rare breed.

I don't park on the street anymore. And I have full coverage now. :D
And when I get working again and sock away the cash to get it painted, I'll also be moving. Someplace that has a garage.
 
I feel for ya :( I have the exact same sized dent on the other side of the wheel well (between the wheel/door) but I've had no luck getting a fender up here...
 
I'll make the appointment tomorrow for the appraisal. Then I'm off to greg's to grab a fender, get some paint. (while I'm at it might do some touch-up work on the door.)
 
Pretty lucky hit.

I had a 70 mustang, just got it painted, some guy in an apartment complex backs his subaru forester into me. I get out ready to whoop him...

The awkwardly low bumper on the car smacked clean against my left front tire...nothing else was touched. Lol.

It's good to catch a break with these things once in awhile.
