Now that I have finally rid my LS of the misfires (see my long post on this if you are interested in specifics), my car is running pretty well.
Seems to have decent acceloration, improved fuel economy and just seems "happier" overall.
But, now when I step into it when going throught the gears (manual trans), I can hear what I think is airflow. I'm also on the fence as to whether it has the power it should. It sounds like I'm driving an old carb fed car and have stepped into the 4 barrels! (sort of that whuuuunnnn) sucking sound that some of us grew up enjoying on the old cars.
All components of the air intake system have been checked and or replaced (new air filter & maf), all clamps checked for secure, airbox properly seated and secured.
Is this sound normal? My car ran so poorly before, it wasn't noticed. If it isn't normal, I'm thinking I may need to see if I have a lingering exhaust restriction on one side, not allowing the engine to breath under hard accel.
thanks!
