Is this fair? Should I accept?

Soni ordered umnitza angel eyes, they sent me the wrong ones. They sent me 1st gen eyes, the only thing that doesn't fit are the high beam eyes. I cut the little horizontal plastic piece off one of the high beam eyes. But it still wouldn't fit. So I contacted umnitza and they said I would have to pay a discounted price from 45 to 30 (for damaged high beam eye, but LEDs are untouched) and still return both highbeam eyes and they will then send me 2 highbeam 9x eyes. Is this a fair deal?

So it sounds like you got the wrong parts, then unsuccessfully attempted to modify them to fit (damaging them), then called to get them returned for the correct ones. If I read your post right and that is what happened, then you're lucky they are working with you at all. Most places would not accept the damaged part and tell you to complete a new order. Next time just call them first.

Ok I just wanted to make sure it was fair. Thanks! I'm lucky then.

I didn't say you ordered the wrong parts, I said you got the wrong parts. Good luck with the install though.

I told you not to modify it before contacting them, but I guess you saw it too late.

Sounds fair for what happened. Like tricket said, they are atealst working with you on accepting the damaged part. You dont modify a part unless its yours and you're keeping it and if you got the wrong part, you stick it back in the box and return it for the correct one.

Very fair for having modified the part.

I would consider that as you accepting the part with no return whatsoever.

They need to fix their website though. Cronos ordered an item that said 2000-2006 Lincoln LS. I think they realize that and that's why they are working something out.
