some jerk off broke my antenna of my mark:mad: is it worth paying the 60 bucks for a new one or has anyone replaced with different style?

I bought 2 aftermarket anntenas where u have to snake it through and it never worked out for me. So I got one off a 93 towncar reversed the bracket and that was it. 10 minute job

i have no antenna on the back anymore :) got a new radio a few years back and with it came xm satellite aswell as am/fm, ipod, bluetooth. got that hole filled at the bodyshop looks cleann.. the antenna is mounted on the trunk, its a small black square, not even noticeable unless you look for it.

I have one in good condition from my 95 if your interested. I removed mine and filled the hole in, then connected the the radios antenna wire to the antenna for the factory phone.

they also have these very thin strip thats go on side of rear glass barely noticable unless you look for it, but my friend has one and reception isnt the best, the universal black rubber one looks like a$$, going to call some junk yards look for used one maybe. unfortunately i still listen to radio at times lol

these came with factory phones? never actually seen one in a car lol

My wife broke mine! I'm hanging with a 6 inch stub. I wish I could get my hands on one.

Please explain. I'd be interested in doing this!

The little 6-8 floppy rubber ones from Advance/Oreilly look decent and don't break, good reception too. I installed one on my old Mustang..telescoping antennas are just asking for trouble IMO

I've found a few phones in Marks in JYs, but WHY would anyone want to install that now, not only is it an Analog phone (which will NEVER work again) it's just wasting space, with something that doesn't even work. If you really want to fill your console with junk phones, I've got a couple of old StarTacs I'll let go for original retail $350, the first flip-open phone ;)

It's ridiculous the ammont of money spent on technology that's quickly outdated.

Power antennas suck.

Ditch it and get a shark fin antenna or even better a hidden antenna mounted on the inside of the vehicle. It doesn't need to be outside just in clear view of the sky.

Should be a fuse to stop the motor from operating when you turn the radio on and off that you can pull if you remove it.

That or you can pull the trunk lining and disconnect the motor connector (my mast doesn't go up and down and I got tired of hearing the motor running every time I turned on/ shut off the car)

let me see, i have a rear shot of the car. you don't see any antenna on the passenger rear quarter, only small square in mid of trunk closest to the windshield, barely noticeable.

VERY CLEAN! NICE! Unfortunately I'd have to paint the car in order to close the hole! That being said, I also agree that these antennas suck but in the mean time we have to deal with them. In my case the plug(male to female connectors) from the 93 is diferrent than most antennas today. You have to replace the entire cable from the dash all the way to the back.
