is it coils?

about a week ago the car started acting up. its got just under 80K mi right now and i have yet to have a coil issue. when i give it some gas the acceleration is super sluggish and often times the car shakes...almost like im going over a rumble strip...and you can feel it jolting forward and back. the CEL hasnt come on at all. i figured it might have been the fuel injector(s) so i used some of that gas treatment stuff. ive gone through the whole tank already and it hasnt gone away. the only other thing i could think of was the coils but i didnt get a CEL. any ideas as to what may be wrong? thanks for the help.

TheCEL doesn't always come on necessarily. I would bet money that it is the coils though. Especially with the fact that you just hit 80k. Have a mechanic check them out or check them yourself if you know your way around under the hood.
