is there a way to adapt my ipod to my tape playin headunit?
 
Either one of those tape adapters or buy a transmitter that sends it through the radio. I have the transmitter, since I dont have a tapedeck in my 97, and honestly it sucks because my radio reception is bad. The tapedeck adapter is probably like 10-20 bux compared to the 70 I spent on my transmitter so i suggest going the tape route.
 
i got this plug in from best buy called a monster. its about 70-80 bucks and plugs into ur cig lighter. u have to run it threw a radio channel like 88.1, 88.3, 88.5, so on. some channels dont get good reception but its preety cool. it also charges ur ipod too while its playing.
 
Just buy a tape adapter! Simple and easy. If you dont know what it is, It looks like a cassette tape but it has a wire coming out of it.
 
in my 1996 continental i had my ipod hooked up via tape adapter and its cd quality. Though the ipod's output may be a tad low volume comapred to cd, just crank up that JBL system and it sounds fine. The FM transmitters suck. I have tried 2 of them ,and its very low power, staticy and totally not worth it. Tape adapter is the way to go. Just keep it clean. BTW, on my radio, the tape adapter is very sensitive to resistance by the tape, which many tape adapters have. If thats the case, take a pencil and put it in the gear of the tape adapter and spin it around really fast a few times. Fixed any issues i had.
 
Check out the new Alpine head units, they have input for iPods specifically and I think that they work for most if not all MP3 players. This is only viable if you want to change head units, but this will yeild the best soung quality for sure.
 
i dont mean to argue JC1994, but have you ever heard a Nakimichi Dragon tape deck? It's such a clean analog signal that should actually sound better than CD. Digital recordings still lack the presence that Analog recordings have.

dont buy the cheap ones, cuz the one i have owns all
