Forgive me as I’m probably overlooking this, but I can find it nowhere using the search mode here. I have an 06 Lincoln LS without the Navigation unit and want to be able to listen to my music via IPOD. Can someone advise on a quality kit to hook me up? My son ran his IPhone through my system last night with a plug in adapter and localization of a radio station but I was not impressed with the sound, so I don’t wish to go that route. I’m wanting sound at least equivalent to the CD player. Thanks!!!

i too am curious about this one. i have looked and there are a bunch of different kits just wanting to know which one is best. Machspeed i see youre from oklahoma as well. and also a mustang fanatic! Glad to see im not alone!!
I've been all over the web this morning looking for a kit and have come up empty or questionable. What's the problem with the 06 interface??? What specifically are you finding?

Maybe you can find a used on on ebay. I have a used one that I removed. Unfortunately, the wiring harness for it is not intact.

Since we are talking about then non-nav, one for an 04 or 05 should work on the 06.

thats the one that has came up multiple times. all just show the picture but no longer available. mach im from tulsa! i have an 05 GT
joe, after studying pictures of my stereo and comparing them with those of the 04 and 05, I agree that they should interchange. Knowing that, can you advise on a kit?

Yes, that should have good quality audio. The only catch with that one is that you can't control your iPod from the radio itself, and the iPod won't automatically start and stop when you turn the car on and off. FRD03-POD/S would give you those features, but the sound quality will be the same (good) either way.
