Interior trim gap

I know this is very minor, but does anyone else's looks like this?

I'm talking about the gap in the (lighter door?), and how its not flush.

Just bugs me a bit. Maybe its supposed to be this way?

Hmm, negative. Mine lines up pretty flush. The bottom tray lost its spring or something though so I have to pull it out and push it back in manually but everything looks flush.

I have some extra parts for cheap from that lighter/ashtray assembly if your interested.

Neither of mine look that way. I did have that assembly replaced under warranty on my 04 because the ash tray popped out and wouldn't stay latched in correctly. I'd guess that in your case one of the little plastic parts behind the scenes has broken.

I just looked up the price on tasca for a new one and its ridiculous (especially for my problem).

Depends on what you need, if your issue is with the ashtray then I can't help because I need a couple of piece for my ashtray.

I was looking at the Gen 2's and thinking boy they look some much better then the Gen 1's....mine is under the seat on my Gen 1 because it doesn't go in correctly. I feel your pain buddy.

mine looked perfect when i got the car, after a couple of years, it started to look like yours...


shortly after, a couple of the little parts broke off and now there is nothing to hold the door closed, it is in perma-up mode 24/7
