anyone recommend a very good interior plastic cleaner? my interior is cream color and has tons or smudges and such inside. i tried a few cleaners but nothing works too well. the best i have tried so far is a cleaner from turtle wax but its still a pita, take alot of it and alot of scrubbing.

Which plastics are you talking about, the hard plastics like the seat trim and door sill trim?

Note that some of the parts in the interior are painted and the paint is easily removed with heavy scrubbing, but some are solid color plastics. For the solid color plastic you can't really do any damage by aggressive scrubbing and cleaners. I use simple green and a stiff brush for cleaning those parts.

Was the Turtle Wax cleaner you tried the ICE Total Interior Care? If it wasn't, try it. If it didn't work good for you, sorry for my post. It did a great job for us on the black interior of my wife's '01 Mustang, though. She used it on the vinyl, leather, plastic...everything! It looks like new and actually puts a protective coating on the leather. We got caught in the rain during a parade and couldn't put the top up, but the water beaded nicely on the leather (you can see it on the headrest in foreground) and caused no waterspotting...we just wiped it dry and that was it. That's Chris Zorich (former Notre Dame all-American and Chicago Bears football player), who was enshrined this year, and the Notre Dame leprechaun during this year's College Football Hall Of Fame Enshrinement parade. The other one is Chris and my wife. We were a little damp after the parade, but it was still fun.

Good luck on your interior!

Woolite and distilled water diluted 10:1, or Meguiars APC diluted 10:1, or 1Z Einszett Cockpit Premium

its the non painted plastic im trying to clean, ill end up repainting the painted later. yea its the ICE tutrle wax im using now. its wokring ok but still a pain and i have to use alot of it. i saw the 1Z Einszett Cockpit Premium on the net but i wasnt sure how well it worked.

It works great, leaves a nice finish, if you need a lil more cleaning action use an APC diluted. Then finish with 1Z. Or you can get Meguiars Quick Interior detailer to top the plastic after cleaning with APC and it is all available locally.

Believe it or not I use this stuff called (awesome) that I get from the 99 cents only store. It is the BEST stuff that I have ever used. I will dilute it based on what I'm cleaning with it. My interior is ivory too & looks like new. This stuff rocks.
