Well I've got a 90 ford pickup with the 302 and a five speed with a shortbed. Well someone gave me a cobra intake and Ive been needin to do the intake gaskets cause they are leaking, and the valve covers. I was thinking I could make an egr block off and plug the port in the exhaust. I think That this upper plenum should bolt to the original lower intake on the truck if not I have the other bottom half and I know it will bolt up. My question is would blocking the egr pose a problem? The cel is on or flashing already due to vacum leaks. So the light being on wouldnt bug me.The intake part number is from an 86 - early ninties mustang or thunder bird. Thats what ford said.:D I will have pics of the final look.

With the hassle involved... you'd be better off selling the intake and buying all your gaskets you need..

I do have the lower plenum also for the cobra. Would the injectors and rail from the truck fit into it?

You would have to use the injectors and rail due to where the fuel lines come into the rail. Injectors are pretty much all the same basic shape in the older ford v8's.

I mean, you could use stang injectors, but I think the truck has 15-16 lb. injectors, stangs have 19's... Might need a tune. As for Throttlebody and whatnot, I am not sure exactly how you would get it to work. I'd see if you can find underhood pics of an older lightning.
