I don't mean to sound stupid but how do you install the LSD? Do you have to pull the CVs and then the carrier? Also, anyone know an estimated time to do it? I have a hoist to work on and unlimited amount of tools..

In addition to the hoist and tools, you'll also need to know how to set it up properly. Are you buying a used carrier or new? Used one may require a rebuild kit with new bearings.
Have you shimmed a diff before? I would recommend to enlist someone who's done it before, and knows how to do it properly. You don't want that thing grenading at 75 on the freeway.

My auto shop teacher has like 20 years of experience so setting it up right shouldn't be a problem.. Getting a used one, at least i don't think, would pay.. I mean a new one for less than 200.. Sounds good to me..
