I was checking out autopartswarehouse.com just now and saw Injen had "Direct OE replacement" cone filters. There are like 6 of them, and all are different size >.>

They have mouth, base, height, and top

So Im guessing that it would look like this

I am thoroughly impressed with the diagram. That is what I would assume from the description. But someone else may know for sure.

with a 1st gen LS, you will need to buy or make and adapter that will bolt up to the MAF just like the stock air box does, the size of the pipe of the adapter will be what size filter you will need to get.

Im guessing with the proper adapter that any of these will work, but I have no idea how big the fitment on the stock tube is.

I was making that huge post while 1LOUDLS posted.

What kind of adapter would need to be made? just a PVC or plastic fitment adapter? I guess I'll go out and have to look and get some measurements myself...s

when i made mine, i just took off the MAF and traced the shape onto a piece of aluminum and cut it out and welded on a piece of aluminum pipe about 4" long, i think the pipe was 3" dia. but im not sure, its been a while. i also belive LSK sells a premade adapter that will just bolt right up

yep just checked, they do have one "true-rev ford MAF adapter" $39.99

I got a bunch of :q:q:q:q and Im going to building my own intake kit for under $40 with filter!!

4 bolts, 8 washers, 4 nuts, a spectre filter mount and some plexi

I'll take pics and document my process for others to follow if they wish, it WILL get done TODAY!
