in need of a bulb

Hi everyone,I'm in the middle of restoring my '98 and was doing some work on my interior today and noticed that some of the letters on my shifter werent lighting up,no big deal,but since the console was already out I thought I would take care of this to.Heres the problem,trying to explain what I need to my dealers parts guy is like pulling teeth,and aftermarket parts shops have never seen this type of bulb before.On the drivers side of a gen 2 shifter there is a circut board which holds 6 red led's for the shift position indicators,then there are 2 white bulbs that light up the letters,would anyone have have any of these small clear bulbs they would like to part with?They are a small bulb with two wires coming out of the glass which fit through two small holes in a rubber base,similar to those small cristmas tree bulbs,then push onto two pins on the circut board.Thanks

It's Motorcraft CLB-194 or Ford C2AZ13466C according to service manual.

Just got back from my dealer and I guess I'm not suprised,these bulbs I was talking about are not even shown on the computer.I can get them though,all I have to do is shell out over 300 bucks for a complete shifter assembly! All you can do is smile I guess.

Our local dealer of Ford/Chrysler/GM (analog of www.parts.com) here in Russia have them for sale for $.70+shipping, so I assume, they are not very rare...

Hey Nick thanks for your help,the number you are showing me is the same as the one we kept getting,problem is it's different than the one I need.The one we kept finding (194) is for the indicaters in the instrument cluster,not the ones on the console shifter itself.Oh well we tried right?I think I'll try raidio shack I've seen led's with solid wire leads that are about the same size,If i can find one that's 12 volts it should work.Thanks again for your input!

Are you shure, that instrument cluster bulbs are not the same that are for the shifter?

gen1 yes, gen2 no. gen one just has the one bulb and the "slide window" to illuminate the gear selection. the gen2 has individual led's for each position

This should be a standard bulb bought at any autoparts store. Shouldn't it?

May be, or may be not. Remember the climat control illumination bulbs...
