Thanks for the offer but i do not plan i keeping them long. i will be swaping to a cobra intake this winter or spring and will delete all that crap anyways. i hooked up my sniper tuner and no IMRC error codes came up then again my sniper tuner is a POS. so i really dont know what is wrong with the car but it feels like it is missing alot of power up top. it has a new fuel and air filter and fuel pump. so i really dont know what to do at this point my moms stock edges feels about as fast as my mark:(

Have you tried doing a manual vacuum check on them to see if they open and close?

no i have not how do u do that? that is what i want to know is there a way to see it they are stuck with out using a tuner and is there a way to force them to stay open without a tune?

Don't know anything about the 96's - I think their IMRC's operate in the same way as the earlier OBD I models like mine, the main difference being that the 96's have different actuators with switches on them?

Anyway, see what I did on my 93's and see if yours is same: (on mine, vacuum holds the IMRC's closed and spring pressure makes them open, so they are open by default)
