When do you guys get bored with your cars?

I've never had a car more then 3 years minus this one cause I just lose interest in em'. I've only put 13k on mine the last 4 yr's and i'm slowly getting bored with it. There are a few things I could do next spring but they require a decent amount of money and i'm not sure if I wanna spend it on this car. But It could possibly re-spike my interest in it.

What are some ways you try to spice it up to keep them intresting?

Havin several toys helps some. Like a new toy if you haven't touched it in a few years, storage can be a issue though. I try to switch it up, rotate em so I don't get bored. But some just don't get the attention they deserve and my truck/DD just gets maintained, no fun yet.

I've had a lot of cars in my life. More than 30 in all since I got my first car (a 1967 Ford Fairlane 500XL Fastback) when I was 13 years old. With the exception of an '85 Chrysler 5th Avenue and a 1979 Toyota pickup that my grandfather gave me, every car/truck/SUV I've ever owned has been either a Ford, Lincoln, or Mercury. And they've all been rear-wheel-drive. Back in the good ol' days, back when I had money to burn, I'd buy a car and drive it for a few months or maybe a year or so and then sell it and buy another one. Sometimes I'd have two or three at a time and drive a different one every day. Now that's back when I was single and didn't have a wife, kids, car payment, and mortgage to worry about and the economy was in much better shape and I made a lot more money:) I've owned my '96 Mark VIII for ten years. That's the longest I've ever owned a car by at least 6 years. Before that, I had a 1987 Mustang 2.3L 5-speed w/T-Tops that I drove for two years, sold, bought back, and drove two more years before selling it again, for a total of 4 years of ownership. I can't say that I've ever gotten "bored" with a car. I usually don't buy something that I don't think will keep my interest. The Mark is always keeping my on my toes. I love it. And honestly, as much as I love driving my wife's Mustang Cobra convertible, I wouldn't trade the Mark for it. I'll probably be driving that '97 LSC until the wheels literally fall off. As far as "spicing things up"? I don't know. You just gotta love your car is all I can say. Sometimes my wife says I love my Mark more than her...

Yeah, I am bored too. I have not driven mine since early June.

In the car...or in her?...I've never had any prob in any of the seats.. Especially with the moonroof open...as far as her sweet spots, bring her here I'll show you :-)

Behind Old warehouses, long dirt country roads, ect ect are decent parking spots..

Stay away from school yards and parks..as lots of people think those are good areas for this encounter.. Those are good places to get caught

Very true. I look at cars and honestly can't see anything that makes me giddy. And I keep telling myself, anything that I could afford would be a drastic downgrade compared to the mark, new or older. It's not that its a turd cause mines far from it, just the fact that all my projects have been completed and all I can look forward to (if you even want to call it that) is cleaning it once a week.

It's a sad time.

Don't know if I want to go that direction, it's my only car now.

If I go perf i'd have to have another car.

time for a supercharger!!!! or, you could add in a trans cooler and a set of 4.30's :D with a tune.

find small things to make the car stand out. thats what i did, broke out my air gun and painted some of the small things on the car. like the letters under the hood. some of the interior stuff. just the little things.

Time to start detailing under the hood :) I'm polishing up a spare alternator I have

This is the first car I've ever owned that I *didn't* get bored with after 6 months.

I think buying that blk on blk lsc that my cousins offering me might liven' me up a little. Hell I'm so bored with mine i was considering transferring all the :q:q:q:q in mine to the blk one and use that as the dd. It just suxs having this as my dd cause I cant tear it half apart like I used to when this car was stored during the winter.

I had my green Mark for a year or two before I got bored of it. Nitrous cured it for awhile. Then switching to my black Mark cured it for awhile. Then nitrous cured it on the black one for awhile. Now, see my signature...

Go to your local or closest drag strip. Smell the fuel in the air. Watch the races. That should energize you to want to something.......LIKE RACE. Then it also put thoughts in your head on what to do to your car. Upgrades to make. There is always something to do.
