so i havent been able to open my rear passenger side door for about a month now, i finally have so free time on my hands and so did my girlfriends dad, hes a locksmith for about 20 years so i figured with me and him on the job we could figure it out. we took out the rears seats so we could get the door panel off (major pain in the ass) we managed to crack the door handle somehow during that process so that adds another think onto my laundry list of things to replace now. after that we still coudnt get the right space we wanted inside the door so we took the panel that holds the speaker and regulator off (managed to break the white piece that holds the windows trying to get it off). so now we have all the space that we can possibly have while the door is closed. still cant get it to pop.
so im asking anyone if they have anysuggestions for me, i would really appreciate it. im getting pretty desperate here. im sick of breaking :q:q:q:q mostly and am starting to wonder if i shold of just taken it to my local dealership and had them deal with this. any thoughts would be wonderful and greatly appreciated

Reading your post makes me want to replace my door lock latch asap before I end up like you.

well we did finally get it open after about 6 hours on the job. one of the metal lifts in the latch was broken so it wouldnt relase. we complatley destroyed that too so im on the hunt for one. i think we can plastic weld the window tray back together so all i have to buy is a handle and the lock latch. sucks but whatcan ya do?

I remember when you first posted on this subject. Good to hear you were able to get in there. I still think you did good by doing it yourself and not taking it to the dealership.
The handle cost $75 at the dealer. Not too bad. You could get a better price at a junk yard, but the LS may be hard to find.

Im confused,
-1st post was at 5:38pm, asking for help to get it open
-3rd post was at 8:47pm, saying he got it, after almost 6hrs of working on it (3 Hours after the first post)
-4th post was at 10:16pm, saying that he remembers when you first posted this (Like it was a long time ago?)

Are my dates and times messed up on here? (Date says Nov. 27 for all 4 posts)

Just a wild guess here but probably when he posted at 5:38 he had already been working on it for three hours.
